High contingent in north-west England
A Freedom of Information request response has revealed that most Manx university students studying in the UK this academic year are based in the north.
The top three universities in terms of numbers are Edge Hill with 47, Leeds Beckett with 52 and Liverpool John Moores with 56.
Most Manx students at Edge Hill are studying 'education including teaching' and most at both Leeds Beckett and Liverpool John Moores are studying 'business and management studies'.
Other institutions with high Manx contingents include; Lancaster University, Loughborough University, Manchester Metropolitan University and Sheffield Hallam University.
