Staff absences hit 220 as cases at Noble's double
Most patients currently in hospital with Covid-19 were admitted for other illnesses, Manx Care's CEO has said.
The organisation has suspended visiting at the Island's hospitals with immediate effect and a second ward has designated as a Covid Ward.
Twenty people at Noble's have now tested positive for the virus - nobody is in ICU.
Teresa Cope says they have been identifying the cases during routine swabs upon admission to the hospital:
Mrs Cope confirmed there are also 220 healthcare staff currently off work due to Covid issues - 30 more than last week.
