Police appeal for witnesses to Wednesday afternoon's collision
A man's been flown to the UK for treatment after being involved in a crash on the Ballamodha Straight yesterday.
Police, fire and ambulances attended the single motorbike collision just before 4.30pm.
Officers are appealing for information from anyone who saw two motorcycles being ridden together in the area in the immediate time prior to the collision.
They're also asking for dash cam footage or CCTV footage from properties in and around the area.
The Great North Air Ambulance, which attended another incident on the Isle of Man earlier in the day, flew to the scene.
A statement reads: "Yesterday, our teams were called out to for the second time at 4:38pm, after receiving reports of a road traffic collision.
"Our Cumbria-based crew arrived to Ballamodha in just 33 minutes, where the Isle of Man Ambulance Service were already on scene.
"The patient was in need of our team's specialist capabilities; they stabilised them, before making the decision to airlift them to a major trauma centre in England.
"Shortly after handing over with the team at the hospital, the team refuelled in Blackpool, and arrived back on base at 8:03pm."
