Roads Policing Unit issues statement one hour into operation
Visitors to the Isle of Man for the Manx Grand Prix and locals alike are being urged to know their limits.
The Isle of Man Constabulary Roads Policing Unit says within the first hour of its MGP operation today (17 August) it had stopped someone for speeding.
Officers have also 'issued another with a fine and points for driving whilst using their mobile phone'.
In a statement on social media, they said: "The speed limits are there for a reason, to prevent/reduce collisions and or the severity of a collision. We enforce them to reduce harm to road users.
"Please drive safe and know your limits."
