Unusually wet weather could be to blame for increased casualties
Motorists are being urged to take extra care after an increase in the number of hedgehogs being killed on the Island’s roads.
The Manx Hedgehog Conservation Society has told Manx Radio large numbers have been run over in recent weeks.
It says it’s due, in part, to the unusually wet weather conditions for this time of year.
The charity was set up to encourage and give advice to the Manx public concerning the rehabilitation and preservation of sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs.
