Multiple warnings in place for snow, sleet and ice
The Mountain Road is to be closed throughout the peak of bad weather today, as there are multiple warnings for snow, sleet and ice.
Police are asking people to stay away from closed roads, not only because it's illegal, but because it also puts emergency services at risk.
There are two amber weather warnings in place, for snow and sleet from midday until 6pm, and for coastal overtopping until 3pm.
The Mountain Road is to remain closed from 11 o'clock this morning until 11am tomorrow (Sunday, 14 February).
