Essential roadworks ahead of the Festival of Motorcycling will see the Mountain Road shut for a time this evening. [Tues]
The Department of Infrastructure and the course contractor say they needs to ensure the safety of the teams carrying out repairs.
It means the road will be closed from Barrule Park in Ramsey to the Bungalow from 6pm until 9pm.
It's been timed to minimise disruption for commuters, who will have to find an alternative route.
Diversions will be in place.
The Festival starts on Saturday.
