**UPDATE: 4.20PM**
The Mountain Road has now reopened after five days of closure due to weather conditions.
The Department of Infrastructure had originally stated this afternoon it was extending the closure on the A18 until midday on Wednesday, however the decision has been reversed following further inspections.
Any motorists using the route are being asked to drive to conditions and be aware of potentially frosty and icy conditions this evening.
Meanwhile, the Tholt Y Will Road, Beinn Y Phott Road and West Baldwin Road remain shut until tomorrow (15 March).
The situation on those highways will be reviewed on Wednesday morning.
