Race equipment being removed
As part of work planned to remove equipment used during the various races this year, the Mountain Road will close from 9.30 tomorrow morning (Tuesday 18 October).
It was due to close today, but current weather conditions have prevented work from getting underway.
Work will be completed throughout this week, with roads re-opening at 4pm.
It's expected that work could be finished by Thursday, but Friday has been allocated if needed to complete the task.
Scaffold marshal stations, shelters, signs and safety barriers are being taken down for the winter, and roadside gullies will also be checked and cleared where necessary.
Businesses on the Mountain will be open as usual, with access at the Bungalow available from the Tholt Y Will Road from Sulby.
