A18 to shut during the day whilst work is carried out
The Mountain Road will be closed during the day today (26 May) to set up the one-way system for the TT races.
The A18 will shut from 9.30am until 4.30pm whilst the works are carried out.
Then from 4.30pm the road will run in one direction from Ramsey Hairpin to the Creg-ny-Baa until Tuesday, 13 June.
Cycling will be prohibited on the Mountain Road from this afternoon, also from 4.30pm - this rule will be in force until 9.30am on Friday, 26 June.
People are being warned anyone found cycling on the highway during the restriction period could face arrest.
