Infrastructure Dept to repair road surface
The Mountain Road is set for a further closure tonight (Fri 13), as repairs take place at the Brandywell junction.
The road will be shut from 6:30 to 10:30, between the Bungalow and the Creg-ny-Baa.
The Infrastructure Department says the recent long spell of hot weather has led to damage on the road surface, and that work must be undertaken before any significant rainfall.
If the section was left in its current state, it's thought the road could become very slippery.
Machinery from off-Island will be used to undertake the work, and the Department apologises for any inconvenience.
