Route will be shut for 10 days
The Mountain Road will close later this morning for maintenance work, including preparing the route for this year's TT.
The Department of Infrastructure says the route will shut from Creg ny Baa to Bungalow as well as Bungalow to Ramsey, with the road between Bungalow Bridge and the Victory Cafe remaining open.
It's to allow for road race preparation work, gully and verge cutting, surface patch repairs, work to damaged walls and felling of dead or dying roadside trees.
The closure comes into force at 9.30am with work expected to be completed by 3.30pm on Friday 17 April.
Access to the Victory Cafe, Snaefell Summit Cafe, Snaefell Mountain Road and Creg ny Baa will be maintained at all times.
