Closure part of latest updates regarding Storm Darragh
The Mountain Road will close overnight from 5.30pm this evening (7 December).
The closure has been announced in the latest update from the Isle of Man Government this afternoon on the ongoing effects of Storm Darragh - no reopening time after then has yet been given.
Meanwhile, Bus Vannin will make a decision this evening on whether any bus services will run tonight.
Some highways may remain closed overnight as authorities prioritise keeping arterial routes open and reconnecting properties which have lost power.
An amber weather warning for severe gale/storm force winds remains in place until 11.59pm tonight.
Manx Radio continues to provide updates throughout today on the disruption caused by the conditions, further information can be found HERE.
