The Department of Infrastructure says recent hot weather means it’ll have to shut the Mountain Road to carry out vital repairs.
Just a week before the start of the Festival of Motorcycling, the department says it’ll close the route tomorrow to resurface the road near the Les Graham Memorial Shelter.
Inspections show the road surface has rippled along the racing line in the heat, causing concerns for racers.
The road will shut between Lheaney Road in Ramsey to the Creg ny Baa between 8am tomorrow and 6am on Monday.
