Conditions still too treacherous for driving
The Mountain Road is to remain closed until at least 6 o'clock this evening.
It was hoped it could be reopened this morning however an assessment team from the Department of Infrastructure, having checked the road in the last hour, say conditions are still too treacherous for driving.
It's as a yellow weather warning for snow and ice on the ground remains in place until at least midday.
