Route has been subject to repairs at Brandywell Corner
The Mountain Road is to remain closed overnight between Ramsey and the Creg Ny Baa to allow the newly repaired surface at Brandywell Corner to harden and cure before being trafficked.
It's after a surface water issue was found along the route where resurfacing work took place earlier this month, after a private contractor spilled a type of adhesive on the carriageway.
You can find out more here.
The DOI says the road surface will be subject to a final inspection mid-morning tomorrow (Saturday 24 May).
If all is well, the road will reopen by midday.
When the road does re-open it will be one way from Ramsey in the direction of Douglas.
