Workers to check for areas prone to landslides
The Mountain Road will be closed between 9.30am and 4.30pm today, while the Department of Infrastructure completes line work.
It says yesterday's weather has once again shown the need to ensure the road is fully fit for use over the winter, and all the vagaries of the Manx climate.
The work has already been postponed twice due to poor weather.
The DoI says the resources used for this will not affect other works to be done resulting from yesterday's heavy rain and flooding.
Workers will also use the closure to inspect areas prone to landslides.
