MHK's anger over DESC plans to shut down facility
Plans to close the Southern Swimming Pool risk creating a 'postcode lottery' for Island residents wishing to access pool facilities.
That's from an Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK who is questioning how southern commissioners are expected to set their rates.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture's recommendation - to shut it down on financial grounds - was met with widespread outrage this week.
