
Government plans to do more to help protect local food producers in the face of what the Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister has branded 'unfair' competition.
Phil Gawne says his department is set to team up with the Department of Economic Development to try and work out what can be done.
Speaking live on Talking Heads today (Tuesday), he said local producers simply could not compete when it came to price because there wasn't a level playing field:
