Man fined £4,500 and banned from keeping animals
Animals rescued from 'appalling conditions', and an owner prosecuted for animal neglect - the ManxSPCA says its close connections to police are paying off.
Last week, a Douglas man was found culpable for illegally keeping two birds of prey, and willfully neglecting two dogs.
The animals were rescued by the charity, which then reported their treatment to the constabulary - they were living in a toilet, and suffering severe malnourishment.
Their carer was fined £4,500, and banned from keeping animals for 10 years.
