Internet provider confirms all affected areas have had service restored this evening
Manx Telecom has confirmed its broadband services have been restored more than 48 hours after an outage cut off thousands of Island residents.
Some affected customers regained their connection earlier this afternoon, with the rest getting back online shortly after 8pm tonight.
It comes after an attempted fix by MT and Nokia crews overnight failed.
Engineers from the company will be continuing to monitor the network throughout the night.
The issue also affected customers of other providers, with the Isle of Man Communications Commission stating a total of 7,000 users were affected.
Manx Telecom's CEO Gary Lamb will be speaking live on Manx Radio Breakfast at 8.10am tomorrow.
