Firm's apology as 30,000 customers hit
Manx Telecom has apologised for problems which continue to beset its manx.net email platform.
Around 30,000 customers are affected, after a bug disrupted a planned migration to what MT billed 'an industry-leading email platform' last week.
The move followed six month of planning by MT specialists.
However, the company's admitting it 'has not gone as planned'.
A major glitch in the transfer of mailboxes saw some customers receive a deluge of deleted messages, but MT says new emails have not been lost.
A week on from the migration launch, the system is accessible but faulty.
MT's Chief Technical Officer Kevin Paige says the transfer poses a major logistical challenge:
