Prosecutors failed to seek a victim impact statement
The sentencing of a man who stole more than £50,000 of equipment from his employer has been delayed.
Sean Lowther, of Reginald Close has previously pleaded guilty to stealing smartphones, and a smartwatch, from Manx Telecom between 2021 and 2024.
Lowther had been due to be sentenced at Douglas Courthouse this morning (24 September).
However Deemster Graeme Cook was informed, at the hearing, that the prosecution had failed to seek a victim impact statement from the company.
As a result the sentencing was adjourned until 9 October.
