A series of consultations will be held later this month
The chief executive of Manx Utilities says proposals for the Isle of Man's first windfarm are the 'cheapest and best' way to keep downward pressure on bills.
A planning application for the Cair Vie Windfarm in Earystane is due to be submitted early next year.
Ahead of that the authority is inviting members of the public to a series of consultation events later this month.
Phil King told Manx Radio the infrastructure is 'sensibly sized' and will plug straight into the grid and work with the existing assets.
He added residents from Earystane have been personally invited for the consultations:
