Conclusion on Saturday was determined visually by MUA team
However, the authority insists it's not the cause of what it calls 'naturally occurring foam and scum' spotted over the weekend.
A team was sent out to inspect the area on the day (Saturday 10 February) after the alleged pollution was reported to the authority.
They determined on sight that it 'wasn't anything sinister' and so no further testing was undertaken.
Testing of bathing water quality is in the remit of DEFA, rather than the MUA.
Executive Director with responsibility for Water and Wastewater, Tim Woakes says the team dispatched over the weekend came to the conclusion it was 'nothing of concern':
The team sent out today will take samples of the foam for analysis 'as a precaution'.
