Islanders facing increased water and sewerage charges
The head of the Manx Utilities Authority admits the body needs to maximise its profits as much as possible.
The comments came after it was announced Islanders are to face increased water and sewerage charges from April.
Although the cost of electricity per unit has fallen, Alfred Cannan accepts some users will generally feel more vulnerable.
But he says the authority has to realistically tackle the position it’s in, following the MEA scandal.
