Authority still paying off £470 million debt
The chairman of the Manx Utilities Authority has been outlining how it plans to balance energy use with paying off its debt.
It still owes around £470 million, despite having £95 million written off last year.
Moves towards greater energy efficiency in the Isle of Man would theoretically lead to people using less electricity.
Dr Alex Allinson MHK says that doesn't necessarily have to be the case, though.
