Busy time for police and DoI
Police say officers and staff from the Department of Infrastructure dealt with 39 incidents involving fallen trees and debris yesterday evening and overnight.
Trees were coming down in locations around the Island throughout yesterday, as it was battered by gale and severe gale force winds.
One road closure remains in place in the south.
The police say Croit-e-Caley to its junction with Shore Road will be shut until 4:30pm today, to give time for a tree to be removed.
Meanwhile, Steam Packet sailings resume this morning, after they were all cancelled yesterday.
