Over 15 per cent of tickets rescinded
There's a wide range of reasons why fixed penalty notices are successfully appealed, the House of Keys has been told.
More than 15 per cent of tickets were rescinded from 2014-2016, and Douglas North MHK David Ashford today (Tue) asked why.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer said reasons included tickets issued against what turned out to be broken down cars and unmarked police vehicles - but he admitted the system was under reviewed.
Mr Ashford suggested this didn't account for some unusual statistics:

Dog access scheme could be expanded across capital
Countering Financial Crime Conference taking place in Douglas
Over 3,000 affected by Cabinet Office data breach
