A convicted murderer from Castletown has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 15 years.
Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson was found guilty of murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts last week.
Over the five-week trial the court heard how Anderson brutally beat Mr Roberts to death in late 2013.
The attack took place in the Andersons' home in Queen Street after he discovered the victim had being having a long-term affair with his wife.
Many of Mr Roberts's family and friends were in the public gallery of a packed Douglas courthouse today (Friday, April 24th) to see the sentence handed down, along with Manx police officers involved in the case.
Anderson was escorted out of the court, his sentence includes the time he's already served in custody since he was detained in December 2013.
