Annual cultural event takes place this evening
There's a chance to see musical and literary performance at the annual Braaid Eisteddfod this evening.
The competition, described as one of the most important on the Manx cultural calendar, covers a wide range of talents, and a supper is provided for those attending.
A number of disciplines are on the programme including folk songs, poetry and humorous stories, but organisers say classes will be created to suit all participants.
One of the judges, Allan Willcocks, explained more on Manx Radio's Women Today programme yesterday::
The Eisteddfod starts at 7.30pm at Braaid Hall and admission costs £5.
