Environmental group says IoM is lagging behind
The director the Manx Wildlife Trust insists the Isle of Man should adopt a plastic bag levy to meet environmental standards set by the UK.
Tim Graham says the Island has been lagging behind on the issue, and money raised from the charge could be used to benefit local environmental and community work.
Officials from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture have promised to investigate the feasability of introducing the levy.
