Police are looking for the driver of a car which failed to stop after being requested to do by an officer.
The incident happened around 11.45pm on Friday 21st December on Peel Road, just before Pulrose Bridge.
The dark blue Peugeot saloon narrowly avoided hitting the traffic officer before driving into Pulrose estate where it was later found abandoned.
It is believed that two other vehicles, one of which was a fast food delivery car, were present on Peel Road at the time of the incident.
Officers would like to speak with the occupants of the vehicles who may be able to assist with enquiries.
Anyone with information in relation to the matter is asked to contact the PC David Schumacher at the Roads Policing Unit at Police on 631 212.
