Union calls it derisory and unacceptable
The largest teachers union on the Island has rejected the latest pay offer from government.
The NASUWT has called the latest move by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture as "derisory and unacceptable".
Two other unions, the National Association of Head Teachers and National Education have accepted the deal.
A statement from NASUWT General Secretary Patrick Roach says teachers on the Isle of Man have seen their pay fall by 30% in real terms since 2010.
It calls for the DESC to come back to the negotiating table saying they ready to engage at any time.
Mr Roach is quoted as saying "teachers who have kept the Island going during the coronavirus pandemic deserve better."
