Not enough people on the Island know Illiam Dhone's real story.
That's according to chairman of the Manx branch of the Celtic League, Mark Kermode, who spoke at the 350th anniversary of Dhone's death.
Around 100 people attended the service at Hango Hill in Castletown in memory of a man who polarises opinion - a patriot to some and a traitor to others.
Addressing the crowd, Mr Kermode said there needed to be a greater acknowledgement of Dhone's contribution to the Isle of Man:

Public urged to open 'home and heart' to children in need
