Over 3,400 licences have been bought since 2024
Cabinet Office has spent almost £165,000 on artificial intelligence subscriptions in the last two years.
Figures have been released following a freedom of information request (No. 5758297).
Since June 2024, the government has bought 3,460 licences for Microsoft Co-pilot.
Co-pilot is an AI-powered assistant used to boost productivity, write and edit text, analyse data, generate images and also search the internet.
It spent £7,937.30 between May 2024 and the end of the year, followed by £7,937.30 in 2025/26 and £125,470.80 so far this year.
Manx Radio has contacted Cabinet Office for a response over government's spending on and usage of AI.
