Waiting time for some around 700 days
Nearly 2,000 people were on the waiting list to join an NHS dentist on the Isle of Man at the end of last year.
Manx Care says 1,941 people were registered at the end of December with the waiting time around 700 days.
The organisation says that figure refers to those waiting for a place who're happy to take a spot anywhere around the Island if one becomes available.
For those who've requested a place at a specific surgery, and won't consider taking a place elsewhere, the wait could be longer.
Anyone who has pain or swelling can be seen at the emergency dental clinic - you can contact the service by calling 642785.
