Island-wide review of disc zones rejected
The infrastructure minister has vowed to consider any parking initiatives that support Island retailers.
However Ray Harmer says there's no need for a review of disc zone time restrictions in town centres.
He told the House of Keys today (29 Nov) that such a review would cost unnecessary money and time at this stage.
But he said the department always had an open door with town and village chambers of trade and there needed to be a balance between the number of short and long term parking spaces around the Island.
He said the DoI would listen to any positive suggestions:

Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
