Island-wide review of disc zones rejected
The infrastructure minister has vowed to consider any parking initiatives that support Island retailers.
However Ray Harmer says there's no need for a review of disc zone time restrictions in town centres.
He told the House of Keys today (29 Nov) that such a review would cost unnecessary money and time at this stage.
But he said the department always had an open door with town and village chambers of trade and there needed to be a balance between the number of short and long term parking spaces around the Island.
He said the DoI would listen to any positive suggestions:
