DoI to make change following speeding concerns
A 40mph zone is to be introduced on the approach to St Marks following concerns over speeding in the area.
Residents of the village urged those in charge of the roads to take action after more than 1,200 motorists were recorded breaking the speed limit there by more than 20mph.
The Department of Infrastructure says introducing the buffer zone will make it easier for motorists to transition from the derestricted zone to the 30mph stretch through the village.
St Marks Road will close daily between 9am and 4pm for five days from 31 August while road markings are repainted.
