A UK-based air ambulance operator has agreed a three-year contract to transport Manx patients to the UK.
IAS Medical will provide a 24/7, year-round air ambulance link, taking over from Woodgate Aviation.
The firm began its term on 1 October, and uses a Beechcraft KingAir 200 aircraft, which is based at Ronaldsway airport with two crews living nearby.
The air ambulance medical team transfers between 400 and 500 patients to the UK for treatment each year.
