New anti-terrorism legislation has become law in the Isle of Man, after Royal Assent was confirmed at this week's sitting of Tynwald.
The Terrorism (Finance) Act 2009 will empower the Treasury to take preventative action to combat the risk of money laundering or terrorist financing activities.
Treasury could also require organisations to limit their business, or cease trading under certain circumstances relating to terrorism.
