Changes aim to cut down 'unpredictability' of drop-in sessions
It's hoped a new appointment system for patients with NHS hearing aids will improve efficiency.
Currently, the Island's Audiology Service hosts weekly drop-in sessions at Noble's for patients who need their hearing aids adjusted or repairing.
However, as of Spring 2020, patients will be asked to make appointments by phone, email or via a 'contact us' option on the service's Facebook page.
It's to help combat the 'unpredictability' of drop-in sessions and guarantee patients get a consultation without a lengthy wait.
The change begins on 2 March, and appointments will be available on Monday morning, Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning every week.
To arrange an appointment, you can call 650407, email audiology.nobles@gov.im or contact the service via the Audiology Service Facebook page.
Existing drop-in clinics will continue until Friday, 28 February.
