Tragedy followed by birth of baby gentle lemur
The birth of a baby gentle lemur has given 'new hope' for the wildlife park's breeding programme for endangered species.
The youngster was born a month ago, two and a half months after a fire destroyed the enclosure housing its parents and their two offspring.
Both juvenile lemurs died as a result of the events.
Park Manager Kathleen Graham says there were doubts over whether or not the park would see another gentle lemur birth:
