Responsible Business Awards year in planning
Final preparations are being made for a gala awards evening celebrating the contribution of Manx businesses to Island life.
The curtain goes up on the first Isle of Man Responsible Business Awards at the Palace Hotel and Casino in Douglas tonight (28 Sept).
The new recognition scheme salutes firms and leaders who've contributed to the economy, while going the extra mile for their staff, local communities, and society as a whole.
The Responsible Business Awards have been almost a year in the planning.
They aim to showcase organisations that go above and beyond their corporate social responsibilities - and have an ethos of acting responsibly, internally towards their own people, and externally towards the community, at the heart of what they do.
Nominations have been invited in nine categories, including Workplace Responsible Business Initiative of the Year and Diversity Champion of the Year.
There are also awards for the top inclusive organisation, community initiative and mentor of the year.
Hosts for the night will be broadcasters Christy DeHaven from Manx Radio and 3FM's Tony James.
