The planned amalgamation of two wage supplement benefits will have no impact on those who claim them.
So says the director of social security and corporate services, Yvette Mellor.
The Department of Social Care wants to combine Family Income Support and the Disability Working Allowance.
Minister for Social Care Chris Robertshaw will put the proposal to Tynwald next week and, if approved, the new benefit will be brought in at the end of the month.
Mrs Mellor says it will help cut down on bureaucracy:
