MHK preparing report for insurance companies
An MHK is preparing a report to present to insurance companies in a bid to end the long-running problems faced by some Laxey residents after major flooding three years ago.
Garff's Andrew Smith has written to around 50 householders, mainly in the Glen Road area, and is compiling information on insurance premiums paid now and before the catastrophic flood on October 1, 2019.
A multi-million pound flood defence scheme in the area is nearing completion.
Mr Smith believes it's time to end the suffering of villagers affected:
