Alfred Cannan shares New Year's message
The chief minister says 2026 will bring 'new challenges to overcome'.
In a post on social media marking the start of the New Year, Alfred Cannan has thanked the staff in the public service who've worked over the festive season, as well as those working in hospitality, retail and transport.
Looking ahead though, Mr Cannan says he knows 2026 will bring new challenges, 'particularly for the private sector'.
The Chief Minister adds: "I hope we can all do as much as we can to continue to support “Manx” during the year and in doing so support our economy and community.
"Good luck to everyone in achieving their “goals” in 2026 whatever they may be. Blein Vie Noa."
