It's now located on Middle Park Industrial Estate in Braddan
The new Eastern Civic Amenity Site has opened today.
It cost £3 million pounds to build and was on time and on budget.
The site will be accessible throughout summer from 8am to 7pm (Monday to Saturday) and between 8am to 4pm on Sundays, bank holidays and during winter.
Andy Crook, Waste Services Manager at Douglas Council, says the staff have been looking forward to getting the new facility up and running:
