After a difficult TT 2011 Eddie Nelson has been replaced as Clerk of the Course for next year’s festival.
A number of incidents over the course of this year's event led to questions about Mr Nelson's suitablity for the job.
Perhaps the most significant of these was his treatment of the marshals during extended practice sessions.
Comments over the Tetra radio network led to some of the volunteers threatening to hand in their bibs until Mr Nelson issued this apology:

General Secretary of the ACU, Gary Thompson MBE will be filling the role at TT 2012 having served as Deputy Clerk of the Course for several years.
