There's now a new health clinic giving a new lease of life to an old medical site in Douglas.
Yesterday (Mon) the Central Community Health Centre on Westmoreland Road was officially opened by DHSS Minister Eddie Teare and Health member Mrs Pam Crowe MLC. It's within the old Noble's building, although it's been completely refitted to the latest standards, and houses 8 dental and three podiatry 'chairs' within a bright and airy space.
According to Mr Teare, the new facility isn't creating any additional NHS capacity, but it IS replacing other worn-out surgeries:
